He has worked extensively throughout the western region of the United States promoting,teaching,and demonstrating the Hawaiian culture he learned from his family. Kaulana has appeared at numerous cultural events - the Lotus Festival,Ho'olaule'a,the Pacific Island Festival,and many others. He was also responsible for the protocol of the arrival of the ship the Hokule'a in Los Angeles,and was selected as a crew member aboard her maiden voyage to San Diego. He has taught at Occidental College and UCLA. He has formed Halau Kaulana-ka-hale-kula-o-na-pua-o-ka-aina to pass on his knowledge.
Keli'iipihamekalokomaika'iikeaonei was born in Honolulu,O'ahu. He has taught hula since he was eight years old. As a teenager in Los Angeles,he was the choreographer for their family group,the Kalani Islanders. Keli'I has appeared nationally on television and radio promoting Hawai'iana,which he learned from his parents,aunts,and uncles. He has taught hula to the Sacred Dance Guild of America in Denver,Colorado; has performed,with Jimmy Kaina and Nina Keali'iwahamana,at the Reading Symphony Orchestra in Pennsylvania; has performed at the Capitol in Wahsington,DC; and has chanted a welcome for the arrival of the Hokule'a in Los Angeles. Keli'I runs a hula school in Dallas,Texas (Halau Ho'ola-ame-ho'oulu-ka-mana'o-hawai'I),and is currently establishing a sister school in San Antonio.
